Woman assaulted, carjacked in Melbourne

Three men have been arrested in Melbourne's northwest after they allegedly rammed a woman's BMW then assaulted her and stole the car while she was outside inspecting the damage.

Police say the trio rammed the woman's car with a stolen vehicle on Rose Street, Essendon, about 12.30pm on Wednesday.

When she got out of her car to inspect the damage, one of the men allegedly assaulted her before taking off in the car. The woman wasn't injured.

Police later arrested a 17-year-old Glenroy man, a 20-year-old Glenroy man and an 18-year-old Queensland man, who they expect to charge in relation to the incident.
