Woman spooked after eerie rocking horse with note appears in garden
It’s that time of year when we start getting packages delivered, but one British woman made a hair-raising discovery when an eerie-looking rocking horse mysteriously appeared in her garden.
The horse, which wouldn’t look out of place in a haunted house with its faded paint and rickety appearance, had a note attached to it.
"To a special little girl love from Sophie cos we agreed and I blessed you and you/me [sic]," it read.
The frightened women then contacted Surrey Police, who have now appealed for help on Facebook.
“Are you eagerly anticipating the delivery of an old style rocking horse and it hasn't yet turned up OR has your old style white rocking horse been recently stolen?” the post reads.
“A local resident in #Camberley opened her curtains to find the rocking horse placed under the tree outside her front door with a note on it which featured the name 'Sophie'.
“Finding the ordeal a little bit spooky she reported it to us in case it had been reported stolen or in the event that somebody was horsing around in the NEIGHGGGbourhood.
"If this belongs to you, send us a DM.”
While there hasn't been any word if anyone has come forward to claim the horse, people are agreeing it's a pretty chilling find.
"Really creepy," one commented on Facebook.
