Worker killed by piece of machinery in Windsor
Ontario's labour ministry is investigating an industrial workplace death in Windsor.
In an emailed statement, Manuel Alas-Sevillano with the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development says they responded to an incident at Integrity HD on Monday.
"A worker was fatally injured by a piece of machinery," the statement said. "Our condolences go out to the family and colleagues of the worker."
Integrity HD is a tool and mold machinery manufacturer located south of the E.C. Row Expressway and just east of Devonshire Mall.
Windsor police said they were unable to comment on the investigation because it was in the hands of the ministry.
The investigation remains ongoing, according to the ministry of labour, and an inspector has been assigned to the case.
