Broke pizza delivery man's reaction to winning lottery is priceless

CCTV footage has captured the tearful moment a pizza delivery driver, who was down on his luck, realised he had won $1.7 million on a lottery card.

Joseph Carrillo was down to his last dollars when he bought the ticket at Paradise Express Liquor in California.

When the shop attendant confirms the win, his reaction was priceless, as he tried to grasp the news.

He shakes the attendants hand, hugs and high fives other customers and walks from side to side in shock.

He told ABC7 he was about to move out of his apartment because he could not afford the rent.

"It was a sad day, it really was, it was by far one of the worst days," Carrillo recalled.

Then it all changed.

"Ran in, that's where you see the video of me running in and just cutting everyone else in line and yelling at Efrain, 'is this real?' Did this just happen?" Carrillo said.

But his lucky win had not made the Californian complacent: he said he would be back to work as scheduled.
