Sexually and socially repressed teen murdered his parents after coming out

A repressed US teen who became fed-up with his strict parents' rules and punishments cracked one day and bludgeoned his mother to death before lying in wait to do the same to his father.

Vincent Parker was a bright high school student with artistic flare who attended church regularly with his parents, Carole and Wayne.

The only child lived in a quiet suburb of Norfolk, Virginia, where he had numerous friends and made the honour roll at school.

But beneath the surface, Vincent felt repressed as he struggled to come to terms with his sexuality in a strict home where his parents regularly dished out seemingly harsh punishments.

The CBS series Teens Who Kill explores how Vincent would pour out his true feelings to friends online while living beneath the roof of parents he believed would never approve of his true identity.

Vincent came out to his cousin Morgan and expressed himself readily to friends online but with his church-going parents he felt trapped.

While his peers seemed to have many liberties, Vincent felt subject to routine and arbitrary punishments.

He did not have a healthy relationship with his father.

Vincent's cousin Morgan Watkins told the program she believes his father beat him and called him names like "faggot" and "fruitcake".

When Vincent told his parents he was gay, they were unable to accept it.

Then in 2013 the once perfect child began to act out, even stealing his mother's car and driving it till it ran out of petrol.

He threw away the keys and claimed to police he had been kidnapped.

When he confessed the truth to his parents they stripped him of all privileges.

Vincent felt he was repressed sexually and by his violent father and lived in fear of his disapproval.

The teen finally snapped in December 2013 when he left school early and headed for home where her knew his mother would be alone.

Vincent pepper sprayed his mother before stabbing her in the eye.

He repeatedly stabbed and beat her with a crowbar until she stopped breathing.

Vincent then called his friend Miriam and cancelled their plans to meet, the friend telling the CBS program she was unaware the boy had just bludgeoned and stabbed his mother to death.

When paramedics later found the mother she was unrecognisable.

Vincent took his parents' car around the neighbourhood to soak up time until his father came home before heading back to the scene of the slaying.

When his father discovered his wife's lifeless body, Vincent struck and beat the man to within an inch of his life.

The boy fled the home while his father used his last whispers of life to call emergency services and tell them what happened.

Wayne died moments later.

Vincent made his way to the local police station, telling officers his father had attacked him.

But the police offered a counter narrative and Vincent soon cracked and confessed to the parricide.

Vincent pleaded guilty to the murders and was sentenced to 40 years.
