'World's scariest man' set to take MMA world by storm

Bodybuilder Martyn Ford has made a stunning career move that’s set to shake up the world of MMA.

The 6-foot-8, 145kg monster dubbed the ‘world’s scariest man’ recently announced that he’s signed on with Poland MMA promotion ‘KSW’.

“I’ve loved almost all forms of martial arts,” Ford said when his signing was revealed.

“To come in here and to have the opportunity to put what I practice into this environment and this cage is an exceptional opportunity for myself.”

Ford is a professional bodybuilder and has done some acting work.

But if he can fight even a little bit, the MMA world better watch out.

KSW officials say Ford “has focused his attention on moving into MMA” and “has dedicated himself to training in various aspects of mixed martial arts while adjusting his training regime drastically to help with the transition.”

He’s expected to make his debut in 2019.

Ford actually had dreams of playing cricket for England when he was younger, but injuries changed things.

“I was lost when I finished playing cricket,” he wrote on Instagram, where he has 1.4 million followers.

“I was convinced I would turn pro and that would be my life set out.

“With injuries, bad luck and just losing love for the game that never happened. But the void was never filled. I knew deep down I needed to succeed at something, that I had an ability to shine in some way.

“I have always been so focused and committed with a crazy ambition to win.

“Fast forward to today, I’m travelling the world with fitness, made two films with three more already lined up. Not to mention three businesses to my name.”
