Young skier's hilarious 'finish line' fail goes viral

A young skier is the hero of the internet after axing himself on some signage that he thought was a finish line banner.

As you can see in the video above, the little legend was skiing downhill when he came towards a sign in the middle of the slopes.

Instead of veering around the sign, which looks to be warning skiers to slow down as they approach the end of the run, he crouches down and tucks his arms in and makes a bee line for the very centre of it.

The youngster crashes into the sign and gets crumpled in half as it refuses to break.

The little guy looked to have mistaken the sign for the kind of banner you'd see slung across the finish line of the race, expecting it to break in half as he went through it.

Unfortunately it wasn't, and the kid's hilarious fail has since gone viral on social media.

The original video has been viewed over 2 million times since it was uploaded to Facebook on Friday.
