Mad Max: Fury Road was a huge box office and critical hit, but not everything was so rosy during filming.
Reports emerged of an on-set feud between main stars Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy during filming of the 2015 flick, with both actors kinda-sorta-but-not-really confirming that they clashed.

“They didn’t get along,” she explained. ““We were also in the desert for so long I think everyone was tired and confused and homesick and we saw nothing but sand for six months. You go crazy, you do.”

“I don’t know if there was one issue, I just think they weren’t vibing,” she replied. “It was like summer camp. At some point everybody has some kind of issue with somebody.”

Charlize previously revealed in an interview with Esquire that Tom left her a note after filming in which he called her “a nightmare” but also praised her for being “f**king awesome”.
“Maybe the movie is what it is because we struggled so much with each other, and those characters had to struggle so much with each other. If we were chum-chum, maybe the movie would have been 10 times worse,” she said in another interview with the Wall Street Journal.
“From what I hear he’s not like that on every movie,” she added. “I hear he’s had good experiences.”
