A medical examiner autopsy has determined that a man's death in the southwest neighbourhood of Shawnessy is non-criminal, according to police.

The man was found at a residence in the 200 block of Shawcliffe Circle S.W. on the evening of March 17, with officers responding to reports of a person in medical distress, police said.

The man was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries.

As the death has now been deemed non-criminal, police did not release any further details.
