According to a report from Fox Weather, at least one of the runways at the Rochester airport —  which has three runways — was closed temporarily as the aircraft was attended to by crews.

Meanwhile, a passenger who had been on the aircraft shared a video and picture on social media.

“My @AmericanAir plane just ran off the runway into the grass at @ROCAirport. Happy landings,” the individual wrote on X, (formerly known as Twitter), alongside a photo of the plane on grass that was covered in snow.

The same X user then shared a video of passengers exiting the aircraft down a metal set of stairs as a number of firefighters stood close by.
