“90 Day”'s Tim Blames Bad Breath for Hesitating to Lock Lips with His Date Who Admits 'I Smell Like Beans' (Exclusive)

In PEOPLE's exclusive sneak peek at '90 Day: The Single Life', Tim's date continues to send him signals and declares "I don't want to talk" before sliding closer

As Tim's date gets ready to put on the moves, he isn't quite sure if he wants to go in for the kiss.

In PEOPLE's exclusive sneak peek at Monday's episode of 90 Day: The Single Life, Tim finds himself in a precarious situation when his date admits she's looking for some sugar.

During their romantic outing, the pair lean against a railing over looking the water. Sweetly smiling and gazing into his eyes, Tim's date begins, "I just want to be with you here because we didn't have time to be together."

Though it seems she's a woman who knows what she's after, his date pauses mid-sentence and smiles nervously before Tim interjects and asks if she wanted to talk about something in particular.

"I don't want to talk," she croons. "I mean, this is a beautiful night."

Tim admits he doesn't "understand" the signals she's throwing out there and asks, "What are you trying to say?" She then replies, "I don't want to say anything."

As his date continues to slide closer and closer, Tim remarks on the narrowing space between them and questions, "Are you forcing me to give you a kiss right now?"

She informs Tim that she isn't "forcing" a smooch, but then asks for a kiss. Tim attempts to compromise by settling for a "little kiss" or "a sample" of what's to come, but his date isn't satisfied with the offer.

"I want to brush my teeth and stuff," Tim admits to which she laughs, "I just smell like beans. That's sexy!"

In a confessional interview, Tim gets candid about his hesitation with locking lips with his date.

"In my mind, I'm thinking this is the perfect moment for a first kiss for everything, except for the fact that I just ate," he explains. "It's been a while. Like, will she think I'm a good kisser? I just have all this s--- going through my brain."
