Huge shooting star falls to earth in Thailand
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope, that huge flash in the sky is just a shooting star hurtling straight towards earth.
Vision of the incredible ball of light was captured on dash-cam in the Thai capital of Bangkok early this morning.
The motorist who captured the remarkable footage was driving on Ngamwongwan road outbound to Nonthaburi when he spotted a bright bust streaming across the clear blue sky.
The meteorite then crashed into the ground leaving a tail of white smoke behind.
Residents who witnessed the fireball told Thai PBS media they heard no sound as it tore across the sky.
One resident said at first she thought it was an aircraft accident, but local officials have confirmed no accidents has occurred in the area.
The Aeronautical Radio of Thailand later also backed up local officials, confirming that no aircraft accident had taken place adding that it is likely the flash of light was from a meteorite.
