Acquired Series Run the Burbs and Everyone Else Burns Pulled From The CW’s Schedule
Two more acquired series have gotten the chop at The CW.
Canadian sitcom Run the Burbs and British comedy Everyone Else Burns have both been pulled from the network’s Thursday lineup, TVLine has confirmed. Through at least Nov. 30, they’ve been replaced by reruns of Whose Line Is It Anyway? and The Great American Joke Off.

At the moment, fellow Thursday-night acquisitions Son of a Critch and Children Ruin Everything remain on the schedule.
The yanking of Everyone Else Burns is especially surprising, as The CW just picked up Season 2 of the series in late October. But the network’s strategy of airing imports has been hit or miss overall: Australian acquisitions Bump and Barons were previously pulled midway through Seasons 2 and 1, respectively, while travelogues Down to Earth With Zac Efron and Fantastic Friends (starring Harry Potter twins James and Oliver Phelps) were axed after two episodes apiece.
In addition to Son of a Critch and Children Ruin Everything, the acquired series The Chosen, Spencer Sisters and Sullivan’s Crossing remain a part of the current fall lineup. German sci-fi series The Swarm, meanwhile, has already completed its eight-episode run.
Run the Burbs followed the Phams, a young, bold Vietnamese-South Asian family taking a different approach to living life to the fullest, “while changing the way we think about contemporary family values and life in the burbs,” per the official logline. Everyone Else Burns centered on the Lewises, a strictly religious family who believed the world would end within the decade.
