In honor of the actor’s 50th birthday on Monday, Anstead, 44, shared a snapshot of Marsden’s birthday cake, which included a shirtless black and white photo of him from his modeling days, and praised his youthful looks.

“So great celebrating @james_marsden 50th! I swear this dude is aging backwards!” Anstead captioned the Instagram Story.

Anstead joined the Jury Duty star as he celebrated his birthday in style with a star-studded party thrown by Casamigos at the Sheats-Goldstein Residence in Los Angeles.

At the bash, Marsden was presented with the white-frosted cake, which also featured black piping and gold candles, including the numbers 5 and 0.

In 2021, Marsden starred in Anstead’s series Celebrity IOU: Joyride and helped the automotive expert and TV host disassemble and restore a vintage car.

The vehicle was a surprise gift for Marsden’s brother-in-law, but as he, Anstead and Anstead’s co-host Cristy Lee set about dismantling the car, Marsden admitted in a confessional that the task “seemed a lot easier in my head."

"I'm having a blast, we're going here taking the whole car apart," he said, adding, “It is my first time to really get that deep into, you know, disassembling a car."

Later that year, Anstead also shared a post on X about attending an automotive exhibition with Marsden in November.

"Hitting the @SEMASHOW with the James Marsden @Buick from #CelebrityIOUJoyride," he wrote alongside a smiling selfie of himself and Marsden, the restored car and the pair hanging out with former Formula 1 driver Jenson Button.
