Anya Taylor-Joy pulled from the archives for her latest red carpet look.

The 28-year-old actress stepped out in style for the Thursday, May 2 premiere of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga — the fifth installment of the franchise — in Sydney, Australia. Joy turned heads in an embellished gold and silver minidress and matching headpiece, both adorned with giant spikes that resemble arrows. The look, styled by Ryan Hastings, is from Paco Rabanne's spring/summer 1996 collection.

The star’s signature long, blonde hair was hidden underneath the headpiece and she accessorized with clear slingback pumps.

The film, which is a prequel to 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road, hits theaters May 24. Joy and her costar, Chris Hemsworth, unveiled details, footage and never-before-seen photos for fans at CinemaCon 2024 in Las Vegas on April 9.

Joy, who plays the role of Furiosa (previously portrayed by Charlize Theron), donned a theme-appropriate look for CinemaCon. The star wore a halter-style studded minidress that bears resemblance to car tires.

“Vroommmmm,” the actress captioned an April 9 Instagram post showing off the look.

Earlier this year, Joy shut down the red carpet at the Dune: Part Two premiere in London. She confirmed her surprise role in the sequel by appearing on the red carpet in an avant-garde bridal-inspired look.

Rumors began popping up online about her potential appearance after fans noticed the project was included in the actress’ portfolio on Letterboxd, which has since been removed per Variety.

At the February 15 premiere, Joy sported a custom Dior ensemble complete with a sheer white cotton organdy hooded cape draped over a plunging pleated silk gown. She completed the look with open-toe Dior shoes.

On the very same red carpet, Zendaya made a splash in an archival Mugler robot suit with cutouts on the breasts and butt cheeks. The vintage couture design, which debuted on the runway at Paris Fashion Week in 1995, is made of silver material arranged to look like robotic armor.

Zendaya later shared that the constricting material led to complications.

“Immediately after wearing it for 10 minutes or less than that, I got really lightheaded,” the actress said in a video for Vogue’s “Life in Looks” series. “The metal conducts and holds onto heat very quickly and traps it in. I’m wearing a complete bodysuit. There’s a barrier so you already have a layer of material on your skin.”

She added: “But I put it on, made it out there and did it.”
