Anya Taylor-Joy looks unrecognisable with a jet-black Pulp Fiction bob
Who hasn't seen Anya Taylor-Joy's gorgeous red curls in The Queen's Gambit? Or maybe seen the long brown hair in Split? Though her white-blonde ethereal hair feels very much a part of her brand, we have seen her with other hues. This though? This we'd hedge our bets is as new and as shocking to you as it is to us. Three words: Jet. Black. Bob.
Donning this Mia Wallace Pulp Fiction-worthy bob, Anya has dived head first into this sexy gothic alter ego and it is such a serve. The inky black 'do is feathery and choppy in the ends, gently turned in and finishing among a thick layer of pearls. Her trusty hairstylist Gregory Russel finished with an intentionally clumsily cut micro-fringe, it's seriously f*cking cool.
MUA Georgie Eisdell has steered away from matching the look with the expected gothic cool tones and pale skin. Instead, she has a pale gal take on a sunny glow, heavy dark eye makeup (exclusively on only the top lashes), and a fiery orange-red lip, with nails by Kim Truong. The result? Well, it's taking gothic down a sexy Italian La Dolce Vita/90s D&G vibe and it looks so good on her.
This look couldn't be more different from her signature waist-skimming platinum elf princess-like hair, proving there isn't a hair shade she doesn't suit. This jagged black short 'do is the kind of hair transformation we live for.
