Bachelor in Paradise’s  Victoria Fuller has weighed in on her breakup from Greg Grippo.

Fuller, 30, posted on her Instagram Stories Thursday, May 9, writing that she wasn’t “really sure where to start” because she hasn’t “felt up to talking” about her split from Grippo, also 30.

“Break ups are never easy and especially so publicly,” Fuller wrote. “I absolutely LOVE sharing my life with you guys but some moments are meant to be private. We are all going through something so just a reminder to be kind.”

PEOPLE confirmed last month that Grippo and Fuller, who confirmed their romance on After the Final Rose in November 2022, called it quits.

Fuller pointed out in her post that “everyone handles breakups differently” and, accordingly, “I’m choosing to process mine in peace.” Fuller thanked people “who have reached out and been supportive” and wrote that she wishes Grippo “nothing but the best and can’t wait to see where life takes us.”

Grippo, from Katie Thurston's Bachelorette season, spoke out about the breakup on the April 22 episode of Jason Tartick’Trading Secrets podcast.

“Being in a public relationship and if it’s … things aren’t working out, it sucks even more,” Grippo told Tartick, 35. “It’s hard. So yeah, I mean it’s sad, to be honest with you. It’s like, really sad. And you know, I just want to respect her during this time and you know, not going into detail on anything.”

Grippo added that Fuller, who initially appeared on Peter Weber’s Bachelor season, “has a really good heart” and he doesn’t have “anything bad to say” about her.

Fuller and Grippo’s relationship came under scrutiny at the beginning because some viewers thought the couple began dating while Fuller was engaged to Johnny DePhillipo, who proposed to her in the Bachelor in Paradise season 8 finale. DePhillipo, 27, claimed he and Fuller ended their engagement in mid-September, while Fuller alleged they broke up three weeks after filming BiP ended in July.

Grippo said on Trading Secrets that he “hated that part of it all” but admitted, “it definitely made us really close.”

“I think that the women in the franchise get attacked, especially just a select few of them, no matter what they do,” Grippo said of his Bachelor Nation colleagues. “And like, granted I think it goes for a lot of the people but especially I think for, you know, her, she can … anything she does gets scrutinized, I feel like.”

Grippo described the breakup as “heavy for the both of us” and said that now, he finds himself “in repair mode."

“This stage of my life right now, I’m really happy about and excited for,” he said on Trading Secrets. “It’s just like, it just feels really fresh.”
