'The Bear' Just Got Renewed For Season 3 And The Details Are EXCITING

Though it should come as no surprise to fans who love the show, Hulu and FX are officially renewing The Bear for a third season. On Monday, the network and streaming platform (where the series exclusively airs) announced the return of the Jeremy Allen White-led restaurant drama.

"The Bear, which wowed audiences in its first season only to achieve even greater heights in season two, has become a cultural phenomenon," FX entertainment president Nick Grad said in a statement, per the Hollywood Reporter. "We’re so proud to partner with Christopher Storer, Joanna Calo, Josh Senior, and the rest of the creative team, as well as the brilliant cast led by Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. What they and the crew have done is truly remarkable, and we and our partners at Hulu join fans in looking forward to the next chapter in the story of The Bear."

Following its successful debut, which nabbed an impressive 13 Emmy nominations, The Bear returned in June 2023 for an equally praised sophomore season with a 99 percent critics rating and 92 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

While details on the new season are limited, what we do know is that Jeremy Allen White is crossing his own fingers for a guest star appearance from Sam Rockwell.

"You know who I love, and I've always loved so much, is Sam Rockwell, and I feel like he would fit somehow into the world," White told TheWrap. "Like a buddy of Ebon, or something. You know, I feel like he would really, I don't know. I feel like there's room for him in the The Bear universe."

Fans, meanwhile, are thrilled over the renewal—and taking to Twitter with their enthusiasm. "THANK YOU, CHEF," one user wrote on the social media platform. "I need 20 seasons of this shit," another chimed in.

"Best thing on Hulu," a third person added.

While the release date for the return of The Bear has not yet been announced, fans can expect season 3 to air in 2024.
