Bella Hadid continues her fashion extravaganza at Cannes with three looks in one day

After several months out of the spotlight – largely spent with her cowboy beau, Adan Banuelos – Bella Hadid’s red-carpet comeback has been everything we wanted and more.

Case in point, yesterday, when she wore three different looks during one busy day of photo calls. Her first dress of the day was the most poignant, as she nodded to her Palestinian roots in a vintage Michael and Hushi gown made from red and white keffiyehs, which are a traditional Arab headdress associated with Palestine. It featured ruffles across the maxi-skirt as well as tassels on the bodice. She paired the 2001 catwalk look with red Gucci sandals, a Sandy Liang white scrunchie and gold hoop earrings.

Later, she was photographed leaving the Hotel Martinez (where all the Cannes A-list stay) wearing a midi-length, partially backless, white dress by Jacquemus, which featured draping detail at the base of the back. She accessorised with a turquoise Jacquemus handbag, chunky gold cuffs and super modern white sandals. Her hair was still scraped back into her signature bun, while a hint of a tan line could be seen on her back.

For her last appearance of the day, she walked the L’Amour Ouf premiere red carpet in a vintage look by Atelier Versace – also from 2001. The glittering black gown featured a plunging halter-neck and accompanying scarf, which she draped around her wrists.

Wearing archival fashion to Cannes is something of a style signature for Hadid. Earlier this week, she wore a vintage Versace bodycon minidress in yellow jacquard, while later the same day, she appeared on her balcony in a 2003 Dolce & Gabbana pink corset dress previously worn by Jessica Alba. Her penchant for vintage looks can be traced back to the 2022 festival, when Law Roach began styling her. At that edition she wore a 1996 Tom Ford for Gucci gown (featuring an iconic cutout on the hip which showed off gold hardware on her G-string underneath); a 1987 strapless black Versace gown with sculptural peplum; and a 1980s black and white Chanel look with detachable sleeves.
