Get to know Giuliana Rancic's son.

The former E! News co-anchor and Red Carpet Live co-host is the mother of one child, son Duke, whom she welcomed via surrogate in 2012 with her husband, Bill Rancic.

As the son of two TV personalities, Duke has been in the spotlight since he was born. The couple have respectively shared sweet updates with PEOPLE throughout his early years, including his major milestones and budding interests.

Amid her busy career, Rancic has been committed to spending as much time with her son as possible. “I always want to make sure I’m super present with Duke — he’s always my priority because he’s my son and we fought really hard for him, obviously,” Rancic told PEOPLE her son was 3 years old. “We were so lucky to have Duke... He’s great and thriving and an amazing little boy."

Shortly after announcing on Instagram that she'd be departing from E News!, Rancic opened up to PEOPLE in November 2019 about potentially looking to add another member to her family as she embarked on her next chapter of life. "I’ve just loved spending so much great quality time with Duke and Bill — it’s really nice,” Rancic told PEOPLE. “And hopefully, like I said in my [Instagram] message, hopefully, we’ll have some good news soon… grow the family."

Since then, Rancic has continued to post sweet snaps of her brood on her social media. Between loving birthday tributes to Duke and their family vacations, the Rancics are always up to something fun.

He was a super happy baby

When Duke was 2½ years old, Bill told PEOPLE that he was "the happiest kid I’ve ever met." He and Rancic have continuously gushed about their little one's fun and outgoing personality. "He’s a good kid. He’s always laughing," Bill added of little Duke.

When Duke was 19 months old, Rancic told PEOPLE that "he loves to sit and observe and smile at everyone." She added, "He’s a huge flirt!"

Rancic and Bill have shared updates on Duke since he was a baby, from his newfound interests to his energetic personality at a young age.

“We just got him a bike recently, with training wheels, and he loves it. He’s been zooming around the neighborhood on the bike,” Rancic told PEOPLE of Duke when he was 3½-year-old. “He loves music and loves singing. ‘Three Little Birds’ by Bob Marley is his favorite song and he just sings it all day long.”

The TV couple also shared a few of Duke's silly observations, like when he didn't understand exactly what his mom and dad did for a living.

“When he sees me on TV, he knows it’s Mommy. And he points, and he asks Daddy, ‘When’s Mommy coming home from the TV?’” the former E! News co-anchor told PEOPLE at the time. “So it’s the cutest thing because he thinks I’m in the TV, and that I’m gonna come home from the TV."

He's trilingual

Ahead of Duke's sixth birthday in 2018, Rancic told PEOPLE that Duke could speak three languages!

“He speaks Italian, Spanish and English,” revealed the TV personality, who was born in Italy and spoke to her son in her native language. “His accent is amazing so he’s always heard it.”

Bill added, “We have a woman who helps us out and she speaks Albanian, and Duke started singing in Albanian!”

“He has a really good ear,” Rancic explained. “It’s pretty cool!”

As the son of two television personalities, it's no surprise Duke loves the camera. Since he was young, he's made appearances alongside his parents on TV — like when he crashed his mom's E! News broadcast in September 2018!

During the segment, Duke hilariously emerged behind Rancic and her co-host Jason Kennedy before adorably stealing the spotlight. Once his mom realized the antics going on behind her — namely, Duke busting a move in front of the huge news screen — she left her seat to tend to her budding entertainer.

“Hi, honey. Mommy’s working,” she told Duke, explaining to Kennedy and her viewers of the animated interruption, “Literally, this was not planned.”

Giuliana is constantly posting about their family life

Although Rancic has stepped back from her various TV gigs, she keeps her followers updated via her social media. In addition to sharing her own day-to-day happenings, she's always posting cute family content alongside Bill and Duke.

In August 2023, the proud mom celebrated Duke's 11th birthday with a carousel of throwback images in honor of his special day. "Happy 11th Birthday to the love of our lives!!! You fill our hearts with so much joy. We love you so much, Duke 🥳🎂💙" she captioned the Instagram roundup.
