The actress, 36, joked that she was a “baseball player on the side” as she reshared a clip of Cleveland Guardians pitcher Ben Lively being mistaken for her on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, May 21.
“Well. Cats outta the bag,” Lively wrote in a message over the clip. “I’m a highly professional baseball player on the side.”
In the video, which was first posted by SportsNet New York, sports commentator Gary Cohen called Ben, 32, by the actress' name as he was seen on the pitch during Tuesday’s Guardians vs. New York Mets game in Cleveland.

“Blake Lively made his first appearance of the year for the Reds against the Mets …” Cohen, 66, said as images of Blake photoshopped wearing a Guardians cap popped up in a cheeky nod to his mistake.
“Was that Ben Lively making the start yesterday against the Mets …or was it someone else? 🤔,” SNY TV joked in the initial caption. “Slip of the tongue from Gare 🤣.”
Ben, meanwhile, reposted Blake’s comments on the clip on his Instagram Stories. “The amount of times this has happened 😂,” he wrote in response, tagging the actress.

Away from her new baseball career, Blake is set to appear in the hotly-anticipated film It Ends with Us, based on author Colleen Hoover's 2016 bestseller, which is released in theaters on Aug. 9.
The Gossip Girl star returns to the big screen after four years with her latest role opposite actor Justin Baldoni, as she plays graduate Lily who moves to a new city and falls in love with a man named Ryle, though their blissful romance is short-lived.
"Lily resonated with an enormous amount of people, as the success of the book made clear," Blake told PEOPLE about the role in April. "Stepping into a character who’s had such a meaningful impact is an honor to take on."
"I loved Lily, and I hope that love is felt by those who care about her like I do, and also those who are getting to know her for the first time in this film."
