There's nothing more sobering on a Monday morning than an hour-long TFL journey into central London... Or so I thought. 'What could possibly be more alerting than a stuffy, crowded, mardy-filled central line carriage?' I hear you ask. Well, when scrolling through my social media feeds on said journey, I came across a picture (or rather, a million pics) of Blake Lively at the Super Bowl LVIII. And while she and her good pal Taylor Swift were the topics of most people's conversations, for me, it was her hair that stole the show (read: woke me up).
Taking to the coveted Kansas City Chiefs vs San Francisco 49ers game, Blake stepped out looking as chic as ever – and yes, that does include her 'fit that very much gave Sue Sylvester (IYKYK). Fashion aside, the actor's hair had been styled in the biggest curls we've ever seen. No, really.
Don't believe me? Just take a look at the pap snaps below:
Her long, luscious, golden hair is somewhat 80s-coded. I mean, we could totally imagine students of the disco era rocking this look for prom.
Now, unfortunately for those of us who want to recreate this look to the T, Blake's step-by-step routine is yet to be shared. However, with our intel and expertise, the Cosmo Beauty Team knows a thing or two about hair advice.
So, if you're off to an 80s-themed party or just want to make like Blake, we recommend seeking out a chopstick-style curling wand. The super thin barrel of our favourite CHOPSTICK STYLER Heroine Curling Wand, 10mm is what will help to achieve such tight and bouncy corkscrew curls. To finish, set said curls in place with a strong hold hairspray like the Sam McKnight Modern Hairspray Multi-Tasking Styling Mist for a long-lasting look.
Et voilà! You're ready for a night of disco fever. Or perhaps an American football game, the choice is yours.
