Bluey fans now have a reason to celebrate!

Starting in July, Disney Jr. and Disney+ will roll out a collection of 20 shorts that feature the titular protagonist and her sister Bingo. The mini-episodes, titled the Bluey Minisodes, range from one to three minutes long and focus on the siblings’ interactions that expand the beloved world of Bluey.

Written by the show’s creator Joe Brumm, the minisodes continue the story of the critically acclaimed children’s television show, which concluded its third season on April 14. “The Sign,” the 28-minute season 3 finale, ranked as the biggest Bluey episode and Disney Jr. episode premiere of all time, nabbing 10.4 million viewers.

Across social media, Bluey fans of all ages expressed their emotional reactions to the poignant episode, which depicted the family prepping to move out of their longtime residence to the dismay of Bluey.

In a group of parent reactions compiled by Forbes, a mom named Kelly Crawford said “The Sign” was the first piece of media to make her child cry.

“My daughter actually admitted that it made her cry and I’ve never known her to get emotional at films or TV,” Crawford said. “She watched it at 8am and then forced me and her dad to watch it too because she was bursting to talk about it with someone.”

Another fan of the Australian animated series, Sam Gavin, wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that “it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say Bluey’s The Sign absolutely f----- me up.”

“My therapist isn’t gonna know what hit her,” he added.

Dave McCormack, the voice actor of Bluey’s father Bandit, told the Los Angeles Times of the episode’s themes, “The underlying feeling of this episode is you’ve just got to try and do your best. You’re going to get it wrong sometimes.”

“But you’ve just got to do what you think is right at the time with the info you’ve got, which is a pretty big concept for a kid’s show,” he continued.

Show producer Sam Moor hinted to the BBC in April that more Bluey was on the horizon, but did not confirm a fourth season.

"No, it is not the end for Bluey. I'm sure we have many more surprises in store for you," Moor said to the outlet. "We have more in store and we are thinking what would be next."
