A body has been found inside a Kennards Self Storage warehouse on the Gold Coast.

Queensland Police confirmed to Yahoo News Australia they responded to reports of a deceased 37-year-old man inside the building around 4.15 am on Tuesday morning.

A crime scene has been established at the storage complex on Olympic Circuit in Southport, with officers blocking off access to the premises and stopping customers from using the building.

The death is being treated as non-suspicious and police are currently awaiting the results of a postmortem to determine the cause. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
