One TikTok user who goes by the username Yana_Mom_ on the social video platform knows the struggle all too well, as she shared a clip of her son leaving the house after she refused to let him have candy for breakfast.
In the video, the mom zooms her phone's camera through a window, focusing in on her son walking on the edge of the road while pushing along a black stroller with his baby sister inside with one hand and pulling a silver suitcase with the other.
The child, who appeared to be dressed for winter weather, wearing a black coat with a blue beanie, had even brought his stuffed polar bear with him, which he placed on top of the luggage.
His baby sister was also dressed for winter weather and wrapped in a blanket.
The mom posted the video with the words, “It was my son who left home with his sister after I didn’t allow him to eat candy for breakfast."
“He took with him the most necessary things — his sister and his toys,” she joked in the caption, alongside a laughing face emoji.
The video has so far garnered over 8.7 million views, over 700K likes and over 3,000 comments as of Saturday afternoon.
In the comments section, several users reacted, including one who joked, “He said, ‘C’mon sis, we don’t have to live under these conditions.’ ” Another wrote, “He is now a single brother.”
Other commenters, meanwhile, pointed out how sweet it was that the little boy brought his sister, with one person writing, “I LOVE how he took his sister. I’m pretty sure my brothers would have left me behind 😂.” The TikToker who posted the video said in response, “Yes, he said that he wouldn’t leave her with me in that case.”

Another commenter asked what was inside his suitcase, which prompted the mother to share a follow-up video of her catching up to her son and asking him to show her what was inside.
Inside his luggage, per the video, was a Monopoly doll, Nintendo Switch, two apple juice boxes, a pair of socks and a single diaper for his baby sister.
“Nothing [for] food 😂😂😂. But he took something for his sister, she captioned the video, along with the hashtags “#Funny,” “#Kids” and “#MomsOfTikTok.”
As one person jokingly commented, “Only the essentials,” his mother replied, “Nintendo is what he loves most, he didn’t forget to take it 😂."
