A 40-year-old British man has reportedly died after he collapsed while out walking his dog on a beach in Spain.

The unnamed man is said to have been on Los Enebrales beach in Punta Umbria, south west Spain, when he fell ill.

The Mirror reports that emergency services rushed to the scene and found that he had gone into cardiac arrest but after 30 minutes of trying, were unable to revive him.

The man had been with his dog on the shoreline in the province of Huelva near the border with Portugal.

It was said that he was identified by the dog’s microchip as he was not carrying any identification at the time.
