Brooke Shields Celebrates 'Wonderful' Daughter Grier's 18th Birthday: 'Love Being Your Mom'

The actress is mom to daughters Rowan, 20, and Grier, whom she shares with husband Chris Henchy

Brooke Shields' daughter is celebrating a big birthday!

On Thursday, April 18, the actress, 58, shared a series of photos in honor of her daughter Grier's 18th birthday. The proud mom first shared a throwback photo of the mother-daughter duo, with Shields kissing her then-toddler daughter's cheek.

She also included a few more recent photos of Grier, interspersed with childhood pictures of the newly minted 18-year-old on her past birthdays.

"My baby girl is 18 💛 I love being your mom and seeing the wonderful woman you’re growing into.. Happy golden birthday, Grier! I love you! ✨🎉," Shields wrote in her caption.

The actress is mom to daughters Rowan, 20, and Grier, whom she shares with husband Chris Henchy.

In November, Shields spoke with PEOPLE exclusively at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York City and shared that she and her family had a special Thanksgiving trip to Europe planned that year.

"My daughter's studying abroad, so we're going to go and all meet her which is going to be fun and different," Shields, an honoree of the award that year, said. "Hopefully we'll get some turkey or something."

During her acceptance speech for the award later in the evening, Shields shared some of the advice she likes to give her girls.

"Don't give you away," Shields said. "Don't make yourself small to please other people, to make other people feel comfortable. Don't let anyone else let anyone do that to you either because believe me they will keep trying."

In July, Shields shared that she was enjoying another exciting milestone with her younger daughter.

The model and actress revealed that her daughter had gotten her driver's license when she shared a photo on Instagram of daughter Grier behind the wheel, on her Instagram.

"Got driven by my kid!!!! Got her license!!" Shields captioned the shot.
