WARNING - CONFRONTING VIDEO: The moment a 25-year-old woman dives to her death after leaping from a bridge without a bungee cord around her ankles has been captured on video by horrified onlookers.
The young woman reportedly died in midair from a massive heart attack after she realised too late that she had made a disastrous mistake.
Yecenia Morales, 25, died in the tragic bungee jumping incident when she reportedly leapt from the bridge without a cord upon hearing a signal meant for her boyfriend.
The incident took place in the municipality of Amaga in the northern Colombian department of Antioquia on July 18.
A video of the victim jumping from the viaduct to her death was filmed by another tourist from a nearby cliff. It was later shared on social media platform TikTok.
According to local media, the young woman was with her boyfriend who was ahead of her in the line for the activity organised by the company Sky Bungee Jumping.
Around 100 people were waiting to bungee off a bridge at a height of around 45 metres.
Morales was 90th on the list, meaning she was among the last of the jumpers that day, and had not had the bungee cord fastened to her ankles.
Local media said she misinterpreted a signal meant for her boyfriend to jump and suddenly leapt from the viaduct instead.
She fell from a height of around 50 metres into a valley and was already dead by the time the emergency services arrived on the scene.

Her boyfriend was the first to arrive where she landed on the ground, and desperately tried CPR as he had first aid training, however, it was already too late.
He is reportedly receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained trying to reach her position in the valley, and is said to be in a state of shock.
According to local media, hospital doctors said she suffered a massive heart attack before reaching the ground.
Meanwhile, the local authorities have opened an investigation after claims that two companies offering services and supplying equipment at the site were unauthorised to do so.
