Candiace Dillard exits ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ after 6 seasons

Candiace Dillard Bassett is ready for a “new chapter” as she announces she is departing the “Real Housewives of Potomac” after six seasons.

The reality star, who’s been on the show since its third season, expressed her gratitude for the experience but cites “a whirlwind of new opportunities” as the reason for her departure.

“As I embark on a new chapter after six remarkable years with The Real Housewives of Potomac, I am filled with gratitude for the enriching friendships, personal growth and moments of introspection that have defined this journey,” she told People.

She does, however, hint that her exit might only be temporary. “This is not a farewell, but a ‘see you later,” she added. “With … new responsibilities on my plate, I have decided to take a break from RHOP.”

Remaining tight-lipped about exactly what those opportunities are, she assured fans she would eventually share more.

“Your unwavering support has been my guiding light and I look forward to the exciting adventures that lie ahead — and more importantly, sharing them all with you,” she continued.

The former Miss United States certainly has a busy schedule outside the show with her budding music career in addition to pursuing acting.

She’s currently a cast member on ALLBLK’s “Hush” as well as multiple films on BET+.
