Cate Blanchett's incredible hair transformation
She might be known by her blonde locks but Cate Blanchett has debuted a dramatic new hairstyle at the BAFTA Awards.
The 49-year-old Australian actress rocked up on the London red carpet showing off a new brunette bob – and totally stole the show.
Fans online were bowled over by the Ocean’s 8 star’s new dark locks, which she matched with a Christopher Kane gown and multi-coloured jewels.
“Cate Blanchett never go back to being blonde,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“Cate Blanchett died her hair brown it’s all it took for me to now fall in love,” another person said.
Others couldn’t believe the star has gotten rid of her famous blonde locks, with some calling for her to go back to her lighter tresses.

However, a lot of the star’s fans were more focused on Cate’s striking necklace, with Marvel fans claiming they looked exactly like the Infinity Stones, from Avengers: Infinity War.
Cate played the role of villain Hela in Thor Ragnarok and fans joked that she had stolen the stones from character Thanos and worn them to the BAFTAs.
The star was at the BAFTA Awards to present the Fellowship Award to Thelma Schoonmaker.
