The cause of an early morning house fire in Windsor is under investigation.

Crews responded to a structure fire around 3 a.m. Monday on the city's west side.

The residence is located on Partington Avenue between Wyandotte Street and University Avenue West.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services originally warned the public to steer clear of the area — and that crews had started using "defensive" tactics to try and stamp out the flames.

Roughly an hour later, also via social media, fire officials said the blaze was out with an investigator en route to the scene.

No word yet if there were any injuries from the incident.
