Showtime released a trailer for The Chi‘s upcoming Season 6 continuation on Thursday. And if there’s one takeaway from the preview video, it’s this: Don’t mess with Alicia… especially if your name is Otis “Douda” Perry.

As we learned in the first half of the season, Alicia (played by Greenleaf‘s Lynn Whitfield) is Rob’s mother and Q’s sister, and she’s highly interested in getting revenge on the person who murdered her brother. Given that Rob and Emmett’s attempt to kill the former mayor went very, very badly, it looks like it’s time for Alicia to take action herself.
Or, as she says as she faces off with Douda in the video above: “I never should have sent a boy to do a woman’s job.”
The second half of the drama’s sixth season will kick off Friday, May 10, on Paramount+ With Showtime and on demand, before making its on-air debut Sunday, May 12 at 9/8c on Showtime. Kadeem Hardison (A Different World), Leon (Swarm), Brett Gray (On My Block) and Daniel J. Watts (The Last O.G.) will guest-star.
