Chiefs Coach Andy Reid Was Surprised with In-N-Out Burgers Right After His Super Bowl Victory
The coach celebrated his second consecutive NFL championship with a fast food favorite
The meal of champions? In-N-Out burgers, of course.
After clinching a 25-22 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers in the 2024 Super Bowl on Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid went home with not only a championship, but also a meal fit for a champion.
Like actor Paul Giamatti — who went viral earlier this year for celebrating his 2024 Golden Globe win at In-N-Out Burger — Reid, 65, also walked away from his sweet victory with burgers from the West Coast chain restaurant.
During his post-game interview with Chris Berman, Booger McFarland and Andy's wife Tammy Reid, Berman surprised the coach — a vocal burger enthusiast — with a very special gift: a box of In-N-Out (with all of the fixins').
In a clip of the chat shared by ESPN, Berman, 68, wrapped up the interview by reaching mysteriously below his desk to grab the box full of burgers from the chain restaurant — which Andy has previously expressed his fondness for.
“You don’t have to eat it on set, it’s up to you,” Berman told the coach, adding, “You can take it with you but you don’t leave ESPN set empty-handed.”
After grabbing Berman’s hand, Andy joked: “What’s sad is I can smell the onions.”
“That’s a bad sign,” he added with a laugh, and the commentator quipped back: “That’s why you’re omnipresent as coach… go enjoy a snack.”
The grill-out staple was a particularly fitting celebratory meal for the coach who, elsewhere in the ESPN interview, revealed that the game-winning play was a spin on the team’s “corn dog” play — which led them to victory in last year’s Super Bowl.
"We had corn dog last year and that was … corn dog with a little mustard and ketchup,” Andy revealed.

Also celebrating the Chief’s historic win with some good eats was star tight end Travis Kelce.
After the game, Kelce, 34, and his girlfriend Taylor Swift danced the night away at an afterparty at XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas — where they also chowed down on chicken fingers and fries.
