Connie Britton Shows Off Glam Emmys Look That Never Made It to the Show After Snowstorm Derailed Her “AHS” Reunion
Britton was set to take the stage with Dylan McDermott and the Rubber Man
Connie Britton got all dressed up for the Emmys before learning she had somewhere else to go!
On Thursday, the American Horror Story actress shared photos of herself posing in what was meant to be her Emmys gown to Instagram.
In the caption of the post, she explained why she wasn't able to attend the event. She was meant to reunite with her former costars on the FX show, Dylan McDermott and the Rubber Man (who was played at the awards ceremony by Anthony the show's host, Anthony Anderson).
"Dear @dylan.mcdermott and #Rubberman, I am so sorry I had to miss joining you on Monday at the #Emmyawards for an @ahsfx reunion!" Britton, 56, captioned the post. "Even though I was impregnated with the antichrist by at least one, if not both of you, I was truly looking forward to seeing you on that grand Emmy stage and reminiscing about those good old spooky days."

Britton continued: "Wanted to send along my “Emmy pictures” since this is as far as I got before being alerted that, because of a snowstorm in NY, I had to hop the next plane in order to make it to work on time the next day."
She thanked her glam team before joking, "I was definitely the most decked out person on my cross country flight that evening!"
The Friday Night Lights star concluded the post by congratulating all of Monday evening's nominees and winners. "And #Rubberman…don’t be a stranger. Love, Connie," she added.

In the photos, Britton wears a blush pink Maticevski gown with partial train and daring slit that she was meant to wear to the 75th Annual Emmy Awards, her stylist Katie Bofshever confirmed on Instagram Thursday. Britton's shoes were Le Silla and she was even decked out in Irene Neuwirth jewelry.
Britton was meant to present the outstanding lead actor in a limited series or movie category with McDermott, 62, before she was alerted that if she didn't get on the next plane, a snowstorm in New York would prevent her from getting to the set of her upcoming miniseries Zero Day.
McDermott and Britton played married couple Ben and Vivien Harmon on the first season of AHS, known as "Murder House."
