It looks like Coronation Street fans can expect to see a lot more of Kevin Webster, as actor Michael Le Vell has reportedly been offered a new contract with the soap.

According to The Sun, soap bosses are keen to keep Kev back on the cobbles for at least another year, so fingers crossed there's more Webster drama heading our way.

When approached by Digital Spy, a spokesperson for Coronation Street declined to comment.

Le Vell has been in Weatherfield as Corrie's resident mechanic since 1983.

Kevin has found himself caught up in an unintentional love square this summer, after Anna Windass and Erica Holroyd clashed over Erica's intentions towards Kevin.

Kevin rejected the chance to spend a passionate evening with Erica at a hotel back in July, choosing to focus on his relationship with Anna instead.

But while Kevin decided against betraying Anna, he did come clean and admit that he'd recently kissed another woman (AKA Erica) and had even been tempted to have sex with her.

And now that it looks like Kevin's sticking around for at least another year, we can't imagine this is the last we'll see of his relationship woes.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
