Courteney Cox regrets going under the knife
Friends actress Courteney Cox has opened up about her regrets of chasing her youthful looks with plastic surgery.
In a candid interview with New Beauty, the star revealed the pressure to stay looking youthful in Hollywood led to many unwarranted procedures.
Courteney told the publication she thought appearance “was the most important thing” from a young age which eventually “got [her] trouble”.
“I was trying so hard to keep up, and I actually made things worse,” she said.
The 53-year-old also added it was like a vicious cycle of different doctors telling her different things she needed done to her face.
Courteney said: “Well, what would end up happening is that you go to a doctor who would say, ‘You look great, but what would help is a little injection here or filler there.’ So you walk out and you don’t look so bad and you think, no one noticed – it’s good.”
But then she would talk to others who would tell her about other doctors saying, “you should just do this” which led to Courteney not even being able to recognise herself.
She explained: “The next thing you know, you’re layered and layered and layered. You have no idea because it’s gradual until you go, ‘Oh s**t, this doesn’t look right.’”
Courteney even had some friends tell her that she didn’t look like herself anymore.
“I have one friend who was like, ‘Whoa no more!’ I thought, I haven’t done anything in six months. I didn’t realise,” she admitted to the outlet.
Enough was enough for Courteney and she has now had all her fillers dissolved and is currently “as natural as [she] can be”.
She is just waiting for everything to “drop” because before she “was trying to make it not drop, but that made me look fake.”

The star said: “I’ve had to learn to embrace movement and realise that fillers are not my friend.”
