Danny Masterson Is in Same California Prison that Housed Charles Manson for Decades
Convicted of two rapes, the 'That ‘70s Show' actor is serving a prison sentence of 30 years to life

Danny Masterson (L) and Charles Manson (R) in mugshots.After being convicted of raping two women, That '70s Show actor Danny Masterson has found a new home at California State Prison-Corcoran, where the killer cult leader Charles Manson lived his last years behind bars.
Masterson – now officially inmate No. BW7253 – was admitted to the Los Angeles County prison on Dec. 27, according to an online California Incarcerated Records and Information Search.
The actor, who was first arrested in 2020, was convicted on two out of three counts of rape dating between 2001 and 2003 in May. In September, a judge sentenced him to 30 years to life in prison.

Olmedo noted in the order that without a successful appeal, Masterson would “likely remain in custody for decades, and perhaps the rest of his life.”

The infamous Manson – convicted of nine murders – was himself incarcerated at the Protective Housing Unit at California State Prison-Corcoran for nearly 30 years, per a press release by the prison when he died in 2017.

California State Prison-CorcoranAmong the murders attributed to Manson was the killing of Sharon Tate Polanski, an actress and model married to film director Roman Polanski who was eight months pregnant at the time of her gruesome murder. The Hollywood couple had been married just a year when Tate, three friends and a stranger were killed at their Los Angeles-area home Aug. 9, 1969.
While behind bars for the murder charges, Manson was denied bail 12 times.

Ahead of Masterson’s sentencing last December, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were among his That '70s Show co-stars who wrote letters in support of the 47-year-old actor. Following public criticism, the couple later apologized for their letters, and Kutcher resigned from the anti-sex abuse organization he had co-founded with his ex-wife Demi Moore, citing an “error in judgment.”

Masterson will first be eligible for parole from prison in June 2042, per the online incarceration records. His first parole consultation would not be until May 2038.
