Daughter's tribute post before arrest over dad's 'hitman' death
A woman who posted an emotional tribute to her wealthy farmer dad on social media has been arrested after cops claimed the cash-strapped woman had hired hitmen to shoot him so she could pay off her debts with an inheritance.
Dayane Claudino Miranda Marcos and her husband, Tiago da Rosa Marcos, allegedly hired hitmen to kill Paulo Sergio de Freitas Miranda, a 57-year-old farm operator, in the municipality of Navirai in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul on September 23.
Dayane posted several pictures of her dad on social media following the killing, with the caption: "May God give you eternal rest."
By the time she was arrested on November 18, her social media post had accumulated more than 400 comments from friends and family expressing their condolences for her loss.
However, soon after the news broke, people commented on the post expressing their fury and disappointment in Dayane and her husband, who was arrested over the crime on October 20.
Several other comments were left expressing anger towards Dayane for allegedly deceiving her friends and family.

Dayane and her husband are believed to be heavily in debt and, by allegedly killing her dad, she had hoped to get enough inheritance money to cover the repayments, police claim.
Tiago's cousin, who was not named, allegedly contacted two gunmen on behalf of the couple and brought them to Navirai.
They then allegedly hired a getaway driver for A$1239, who took the gunmen to the victim's address.
The hitmen turned up at the victim's home and fired several shots at both him and his wife, according to Campo Grande News.
Paulo died four days after the attack, during which he was shot in the face, arms, abdomen and hands.
His wife survived unharmed, but police believe she was also on the armed group's hit list.
Police caught up with the armed group and, during a shoot-out, one of the suspects was killed.
Woman's sister says she was acting strangely
Dayane's sister Nathalie Claudino Miranda said the family suspected Tiago may have orchestrated the alleged murder, but they did not suspect his wife until they saw her at the hospital.
Nathalie alleged her sister was acting very strangely and, even though her husband had been arrested, she had continued to support him.
"It was a shock because he is a father, he is her father and my father, and he was always a wonderful guy, he always tried to give the best for us. She didn't see it, didn't appreciate it," Nathalie added.
Local laws prohibit her from getting an inheritance if found guilty of the crime.
Six suspects have been indicted, including the married couple, and the investigation is ongoing, according to local media.
It is believed the cousin is one of them, but this is not confirmed.
