Diddy Is Reportedly Trying to Sell His L.A. Mansion That Was Raided by Federal Agents for $70 Million

Homeland Security Investigations previously confirmed to PEOPLE that its teams had searched the rapper-producer's properties in Los Angeles and Miami

 Sean “Diddy” Combs is looking to unload a massive piece of real estate amid his ongoing legal troubles.

The rapper has reportedly listed his Los Angeles mansion, which was searched by federal agents in March, for $70 million, according to TMZ.

Raids were conducted by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents at his L.A. and Miami properties on March 26 amid sex trafficking allegations in two lawsuits.

"Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners. We will provide further information as it becomes available," a representative for the agency said in a statement to PEOPLE at the time.

Diddy purchased the mansion in 2014 for $39 million, according to property records. It's located in the exclusive neighborhood of Holmby Hills, which is also home to the Playboy Mansion and the former Spelling estate.

The then-newly built, 17,000 sq. ft. European-inspired property includes a 35-seat theater, a guest house, and swimming pool with a grotto connected via underground tunnel, the Los Angeles Times reported at the time.

Diddy took out two mortgages on his L.A. home, both for $25.35million, in August 2014 and May 2021, records show. Neither appears to have been paid off. The former is due to be repaid in full in August 2029 and the latter in May 2036.

Six women have come forward accusing the star of sexual assault and similar allegations in the last several months.

In May, surveillance video surfaced showing Diddy grabbing, shoving and kicking his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie, during a 2016 altercation that matches allegations she made in a now-settled lawsuit filed last November.

After the footage was published by CNN, Cassie, 37, released a statement on Instagram, expressing her thanks for the support of family, friends and fans, explaining that "the outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now."

"But this is only the beginning," she wrote. "Domestic Violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from the past."

Diddy's attorney, Jonathan Davis, issued the following statement to PEOPLE on July 3: “No matter how many lawsuits are filed it won't change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone. We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason and without any proof. Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail against these and other baseless claims in court.”

Amid public outcry, the mogul has returned accolades, including the key to the city of New York after a request from the mayor. Howard University also revoked an honorary degree it had awarded him.

On June 22, he deleted all the posts on his Instagram page, including an apology video to Cassie.
