Disney’s Freeform is running #StayTheFFHome movie marathons filled with your favorite rom-coms

Please, for the love of TV, stay home. Maybe you’ve already gone through your entire Netflix queue and watched all your recorded shows, and now you feel like you’re staring down a long, never-ending, quarantine tunnel of boredom. We get it. But there’s light: Freeform is putting on movie marathons throughout each weekend of April, and the lineup is stacked.

Nostalgia is medicine in times like these, so we’re stoked to see that some throwback classics like Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, and Back to the Future made the list. And to call on that childlike spirit we could all use right now, Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, A Bug’s Life, and more are in the mix. Each weekend marathon has a theme, so you know exactly what you’re getting into. There’s a chick flick weekend (though we really wish that term was expired by now), superhero movie weekend, “FunDay” weekend, and Hunger Games weekend.

The festivities kick off on Friday, April 3rd at 5:30 p.m. EST with an all-night marathon of Freeform’s new comedy Everything’s Gonna Be Okay. The movies begin on Saturday, April 4th at 7:00 a.m. with Rock of Ages.

Along with the themed marathons, the network is also launching a social distancing campaign, aptly named #StayTheFFHome, to provide a multi-platform experience to keep viewers even more engaged. As Entertainment Weekly reported, a press release explains that #StayTheFFHome “aims to distract, educate, and entertain fans while creating a sense of communal viewing.”
