Diver dead off coast of Scotland
A diver has died and another is in hospital after an incident off the coast of the Orkney Islands.
Police were called to Houton Pier in Orkney at around 10.35am on Friday to reports of two divers in distress.
They were brought to shore by a boat but one, 58, was later declared dead at the scene.
An investigation has since been launched.
"The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course," a Police Scotland spokesman said.
It comes weeks after the body of a diver was recovered from Orkney's Scapa Flow.
