Drew Scott Says He Needs a ‘Crash Course’ as He Prepares for Baby No. 2: ‘I’m Forgetting All of It’ (Exclusive)

Drew Scott and Linda PhanDrew Scott isn't quite ready to welcome his newest little one.
Speaking to PEOPLE about HGTV’s Backed by the Bros (premiering June 5), Scott, 46, opened up about welcoming his second baby next month with wife Linda Phan, 39. While Scott has already had some practice with son Parker, 23 months, he admits that he needs a refresher on how to care for a newborn.
"We've just been in planning mode," Scott says of himself and wife Phan. "The funny thing is Parker, they'll be about two years apart, so Parker will be 2, but I'm already forgetting a lot of, I had little tricks and little techniques and things for changing diapers efficiently and for feeding."

"I'm forgetting all of it," the soon-to-be dad of two admits. "So I think it's going to be like a crash course again, as soon as I get into it, to figure it out. But the main thing is Linda's such a rockstar mom and she pours so much love into Parker and the family, and I try to do the same."
"I just am really excited to see Parker as an older brother," adds Scott.
Phan and Scott announced on Instagram back in January that they are expecting baby No. 2. In an Instagram carousel, Phan shared a sweet photo with her son Parker, who touched Phan's belly, with the caption, "💕 lately-ish 💕."
The HGTV personality shared the same photo on the same day with the caption, "Round 2👶
I hope Parker’s ready for a lil company❤️❤️."
After Scott and Phan shared that they were expecting again, the Property Brothers star spoke to PEOPLE at a red carpet event, raving about seeing his wife become a mom again.
"I love seeing Linda as a mom, and the idea of having a couple of kiddos running around is pretty cool. I have siblings, and so for Parker to have a sibling too is pretty cool," he shared.
The couple tied the knot in Italy on May 4, 2018, before welcoming their first son, Parker, on their fourth wedding anniversary in May of 2022.
