“DWTS” Alum Cheryl Burke Planned Her 40th Birthday 'All By My Lonesome,' Says Her Friends Didn't 'F---ing Care'

“This party’s only for Instagram, let’s be real. And I’m not gonna get any engagement anyway," the professional dancer added

Cheryl Burke is celebrating 40 — even if she had to do all of the party planning alone.

On Sunday, May 5, the Dancing with the Stars alum shared a video on TikTok, explaining how she had to tap into a certain inner celebrity event planner at the last minute.

“Part 1: Plans have changed and I only have 3 days to plan my 40th so I’m channeling @Mindy Weiss! Wish me luck!” wrote Burke, who turned another year older on Friday, May 3. Weiss is a party planner who boasts nearly 800,000 Instagram followers.

In the video, which was just over two minutes long, Burke shared behind-the-scenes footage of what went into making her day special.

The clip began with the star calling the “balloon lady” after her initial plan to celebrate in Las Vegas fell through.

After deciding on the perfect arrangement, it was time for Burke to “check out some yachts.”

She saw several boats as she toured different vessels to see which would be best. She also rented a photo booth that didn’t require an attendant, because as she’d stated earlier in her clip, “Who wants a random person at their party?”

Once the photo booth rental was secured, she tested out the props.

While doing so, Burke made a confession about those closest to her.

“I’m doing this all [by] my lonesome self,” she said. “You would think I would have friends that would f---ing care — I don’t. They just care to have free food, [a] chef, a yacht, and free liquor ‘cause they’re all drunks.”

Burke continued, “This party’s only for Instagram, let’s be real. And I’m not gonna get any engagement anyway — I’m gonna get like what? Oh, 4,000 likes?”

Still, things seemed to go just fine for the professional dancer, who shared celebratory posts via Instagram.

“Sailing into 40 like... 🛥️🎂 Celebrating this milestone birthday with the people who matter most,” she captioned one Instagram carousel.

The post showed the television personality posing on a yacht with loved ones. Burke also shared pictures of herself in front of her balloon arrangement and a blackjack table.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported and loved me unconditionally through the years. Your presence is my greatest gift! 🙏🏼.”

Her friend and former DWTS costar Sharna Burgess was photographed in one of the slides. Leah Remini was also present for the festivities.

Last week, Burke started her celebrations with an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show.

“Thank you to the @jenniferhudsonshow and @morningsave for kicking off my birthday celebration with the most amazing ‘deals that sing!’ 🎶💜,” she captioned another Instagram carousel.

This time the star was on the set of the daytime talk show and took several photos with a birthday cake.

“Happy birthday ! We love you!” the television host and EGOT winner, 42, wrote in Burke’s comment section.
