Emma Roberts Reveals the One Thing from Her Childhood That Her 3-Year-Old Son Rhodes 'Loves': 'Makes Me Laugh'

The actress gave a peek into her Los Angeles home in a new video with 'Architectural Digest'

Emma Roberts is reclaiming her childhood "time-out chair."

The actress, 33, brought Architectural Digest into her home in a video posted on Tuesday, April 16, and showed the outlet around her house where she lives with her son Rhodes, 3. As she was describing different pieces of furniture in her living room, Roberts held up a worn-out chair and shared that it had been in her life for quite some time.

“This chair was my time-out chair when I was a kid. It had to come with me to my houses and now my son sits in it and loves it," Roberts said of her toddler son.

"And so it just makes me kind of laugh to myself when I think about it. And we still call it the time-out chair. Like my mom will be like, ‘Oh my god, the time-out chair!’ But yeah. She’s seen it all."

Roberts shares Rhodes with ex Garrett Hedlund, 39.

The American Horror Story star recently appeared on an episode ofToday with Hoda & Jenna where she shared that her son has a unique relationship with her mom Kelly Cunningham.

In the conversation, Hoda Kotb asked Roberts if becoming a mom has changed her relationship with her mother.

"I mean, yes. I was like, ‘I’m sorry if I was difficult as a kid,' " the star laughed. "My mom is so helpful. To be on a show like this, American Horror Story, it’s very demanding."

"It’s like 12-hour days, five days a week, and my mom helps me with my son and they have the most beautiful relationship and I’m so grateful," the proud mom continued. "She’s probably watching. Hi Mommy!"

In December, the actress celebrated her son's third birthday, posting a black and white photo on Instagram that showed her smiling at Rhodes while he smiled at the camera.

“Happy Birthday to the sweetest soul. I love you Rhodes! Here’s to 3! ❤️,” Roberts captioned the post.

Roberts also shared snapshots of her son on her Instagram Stories, including one picture of herself cuddling Rhodes as she smiled back to the camera and her son stared off into the distance.

She captioned the first celebratory picture, “happy birthday Roadie!”
