Eva Mendes is now a part of the Bluey Book Reads universe!

On Friday, May 3, the actress, 50, appeared as the lead voiceover for the series' latest episode, Mum School, which was released on the popular animated series' YouTube channel.

In the six-minute episode, Mendes reads the story as illustrations featuring the title character Bluey and his beloved family are displayed with words below them.

The book episode begins by showing a real-life version of the outside of Bluey’s house, before the camera pans up the stairs and past the front door, next landing on the Mum School book.

Bluey, Mum School — read by me, Eva Mendes,” Mendes begins her voiceover.

“Bluey and mom are in the lounge room playing with lots of balloons. Suddenly Bingo runs through in her towel chased by dad,” the actress then reads. “‘Hey Bingo, good work for having a bath,’ says mom. ‘Yeah, but she hasn't cleaned her teeth,’ complains dad. ‘Come here.' "

The Bluey Book Reads digital series made its debut in February, with each episode featuring stories from the popular Bluey children's books.

Mendes joins a host of stars who have voiced episodes since the book series began, including Bindi Irwin and Kylie Minogue.

This isn’t the first time Mendes has entered the world of Bluey, however. She previously appeared as a yoga instructor in a 2021 episode of the animated series.

Mendes previously said that Bluey is “huge” in her household, as her daughters Esmeralda Amada, 9, and Amada Lee, 7, whom she shares with partner Ryan Gosling, “love” the show.

“They love Bluey! Bluey is huge in our house. Huge,” the actress told Australian outlet Now to Love in 2020. “They get kind of this crazy energy afterward and they play tricks on us. They really love the frozen statue thing. But they love Bluey and we love Bluey and we watch it a lot.”

Mendes is set to release her debut children’s picture book Desi, Mami and the Never-Ending Worries this fall. The actress told PEOPLE in February that the book “is a love letter to my kids and yours.”
