F1: When could Max Verstappen or Lando Norris win the title? All the races left for 2024
The Formula One circuit is hotting up, with a conclusion to the title speeding our way very soon.
The chase has been on for some time and Lando Norris has closed the gap against Max Verstappen in the F1 title stakes to 52 points after his victory at the Singapore Grand Prix – but will it be enough in the end?
The British driver survived two scrapes with the wall, but still led every lap under the lights of the Marina Bay circuit to take the chequered flag 20.9 seconds clear of Red Bull's Verstappen.
Oscar Piastri finished third, one place ahead of Mercedes' George Russell, with Charles Leclerc fifth for Ferrari. Lewis Hamilton started third but crossed the line a disappointing sixth.
Verstappen is eyeing a fourth consecutive F1 world championship and with 180 points still up for grabs in the remaining six rounds – including three sprint races – it is still all to fight for when F1 returns after a four-week break with the US Grand Prix in October.
Here is everything we have left.

When could Max Verstappen win the title?
After the Singapore grand prix, Verstappen has a 62 point lead and the title is very much in his hands.
Verstappen could come second to Norris in all of the remaining grand prix and still win.
But if the Dutchman was to win all of the sprint and feature races he could clinch the title at the Las Vegas Grand Prix - regardless of what Norris does.
If Norris fails to finish second in the sprint and feature races, Verstappen could win the title sooner.
What does Lando Norris have to do to win title?
Lando Norris says chasing down world championship leader Max Verstappen is "definitely possible" if McLaren maintain the form that enabled him to dominate the Singapore Grand Prix.
In an interview, he said his team had “executed things perfectly”, but added: “But we need to do it at every race until the end of the year if I want to have a chance to get Max.”
Norris needs to reduce Verstappen's lead by an average of 8.66 points per weekend to catch up, with a maximum of 180 points still available in the six grands prix (including an extra point for the fastest lap) and the three Sprint races that remain.
The final round of the season, which takes place in Abu Dhabi from December 6-8, is not a Sprint weekend, which means Norris will need to be within 26 points of Verstappen to maintain a chance of winning.
If he can manage to do the groundwork in the last few meets, it could all come down to the wire on the final day.
Norris said: “I'm working my heart out, I'm working my butt off, to try and make sure that happens. He's trying to make sure it doesn't happen. So we'll have to wait and find out.”
