A Family Affair Trailer: Nicole Kidman Falls For Zac Efron in Netflix Rom-Com
Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman are going at it again. The duo, who previously romanced one another on the big screen in 2012’s The Paper Boy, will rekindle their chemistry for Netflix’s A Family Affair. Even better, we’ve got ourselves a trailer.
From writer Carrie Solomon and director Richard LaGravenese, the rom-com’s official logline suggests that “a surprising romance kicks off comic consequences for a young woman, her mother and her movie star boss as they face the complications of love, sex and identity.”

The young woman, in this case, is played by Joey King, while her mother and her movie star boss are being played by Kidman and Efron, respectively. A Family Affair also stars Liza Koshy and Kathy Bates.
It’s another streaming May-December romance, not unlike Prime Video’s The Idea of You, only with the added layer of a daughter wanting to protect her mother from getting hurt.
A Family Affair is the latest in a series of original rom-coms to hit the streamer this year. Others include Mother of the Bride (Brooke Shields, Miranda Cosgrove), Irish Wish (Lindsay Lohan) and Players (Gina Rodriguez, Damon Wayans Jr.).
