“Five Nights at Freddy's” still dominates the weekend at No. 1 after huge dropoff

After dropping 76%, FNAF still raked in $19.4 million.

Five Nights at Freddy's didn't repeat the massive success of its debut weekend, but the animatronic horror-fest is still sitting pretty at No. 1.

The spooky video game adaptation, which features Josh Hutcherson squaring off against the killer mascots of a Chuck E Cheese-esque restaurant, dropped 76% in its sophomore weekend. But after an unexpectedly huge opening, the film still raked in $19.4 million, according to Comscore.

In the U.S. alone, the horror flick has earned a total of $113.6 million in just two weeks, with a global total of over $217 million. That success is all the more impressive given the film simultaneously debuted on Peacock, with a day-and-date release. Freddy's had a huge advantage on its side, of course: the film takes its story and characters from a wildly popular video game series of the same name, which boasts a dedicated fanbase.

Speaking of unwavering loyalty, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is still going strong in its fourth weekend of release. Snagging second place, the concert film added an additional $13.5 million to its $165 million total. For those in the US who didn't manage to attend Swift's Eras Tour, the theatrical experience is the next best thing. And though Swift is set to bring her concert abroad in the weeks to come, the concert film is still bringing in fans around the world, with a $231 million global total.

Elsewhere, Martin Scorsese's three-hour epic Killers of the Flower Moon earned $7 million for its $52.3. The Oscar contender starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, and Jesse Plemons now sits at $119.2 million globally.

Sofia Coppola's Priscilla also made a splash this weekend, expanding into a wider release for a gross of $5.3 million. The film starring Euphoria's Jacob Elordi and Mare of Easttown's Cailee Spaeny is adapted from Priscilla Presley's 1985 memoir Elvis and Me. Following the courtship of the famous couple from Priscilla's perspective, the moody love story has arrived to buzz from critics and fans.

Rounding out the top five is Radical, a drama starring Eugenio Derbez. The film follows a teacher at a harshly run Mexican elementary school who attempts an unorthodox approach to inspiring his students. Following massive success in Mexico, the film debuted to $2.7 million in the U.S., adding to its global total of $10.2 million.
