There's A Flamin' Hot Cheetos Movie? Yes Please Hulu / Ralph's

There's hardly a snack as illustrious as Flamin' Hot Cheetos. The bright red cheese puffs first hit shelves in the early '90s and they've been a spicy staple ever since. And now, the entire country will soon know the surprising story behind the iconic snack thanks to Flamin' Hot, a new film directed by Eva Longoria and produced by DeVon Franklin.

The film's tagline is "The flavor you know. The story you don't," and it tells the heartwarming true story of how Flamin' Hot Cheetos came to be.

"Flamin' Hot is the inspiring true story of Richard Montañez, the Frito Lay janitor who channeled his Mexican American heritage and upbringing to turn the iconic Flamin’ Hot Cheetos into a snack that disrupted the food industry and became a global pop culture phenomenon," a synopsis for the film reads.

As Variety put it, the film is an "inspirational tale of success in a country where Latinos make up a significant segment of the market, but hold relatively few leadership positions." They even compared to the movie Rocky. And The Hollywood Reporter's critic wrote that the film is “charming” and “utterly delightful.”

The newly released trailer for Flamin' Hot offers a glimpse into the larger-than-life story of Montañez (played by Jesse Garcia). We get a look at his unpredictable rise to an executive role at PepsiCo (owners of Frito-Lay) and his involvement in the creation of Flamin' Hot Cheetos.

"I'm the guy who helped bring the world the most popular snack it's ever seen," Montañez says in the trailer.

As expected, people already have plenty to say about the movie online.

"I have to watch this!!!! Til today Flamin Hot Cheetos has me in a chokehold!" one person wrote on Twitter.
