Florence Pugh just wore the *highest* platform heels we've ever seen

If there's anyone whose style choices can really get people talking, it's Florence Pugh's. The Oppenheimer actress has broken the internet more times than we can count at this point – and not just when she famously "freed the nipple" in *that* see-through hot pink Valentino gown in Rome back in July 2022. Despite the (unwarranted) backlash she received as a result, Florence didn't let that stop her from continuing to make daring and at times controversial fashion statements – and we love her all the more for it.

For example: just a few months ago, she debuted a bold new buzz cut on the Met Gala red carpet, complete with a cutting-edge feathered head piece that sent fans into a frenzy, while for the Valentino Couture show in Paris earlier this summer, she wore yet *another* totally sheer "free the nipple" gown and dyed her super-short hair hot pink for the occasion. Truly iconic.

So, really, it was to be expected that Florence's new photoshoot for the October issue of ELLE UK would be filled with some seriously MAJOR looks – and she didn't disappoint.

Styled by Jenny Kennedy, Florence posed in everything from a plunging red ruffle gown with biker boots to a super oversized black-and-white striped coat, but there's one detail in particular that we just can't get out of our heads... Namely: Florence's *insanely* high platform heels.

We're not exaggerating when we say that we've never seen any quite like them. Even the iconic Vivienne Westwood heels that Naomi Campbell fell over in look like flats by comparison... Worn with multiple outfits in the shoot – including a bright yellow mini dress and matching coat, as well as an XXL pink blazer and red trousers – the shoes in question are a gorgeous blue satin design by Valentino featuring a HUGE platform, ballerina-style round toes and two thick ankle straps to keep them firmly in place.

Our feet hurt just looking at them, TBH. We're presuming there's a reason Florence didn't take them off between outfits...
